Importance of technical writing
Annallissa R. Yamson
Heps a lot to me because as a businessman, I am submitting a lot of reports and correspondence to government agencies, to my associates, billing collection for my debtors, and status report for my creditors
As a student we are trained to make technical writing sometimes we can not appreciate the importans of it but I know this is a training for us not only to oblige us but also to benefit us in the future. Through technical writing we can transcribed what is in our mind and as an engineering student there are technical terms that only us can interpret to Laymans term

“Technical communication is really important to me as I am a Municipal Councilor. This helps me communicate very well to the higher officials like the mayor and vice mayor. It also helps me a lot in delivering a speech in front of the audience when there are occasions.”

“Being a teacher, of course technical communication is the main factor for me to boost my self-confidence in teaching. Through technical communication, I can speak fluently the lectures and lessons that I have to discuss with my pupils. More importantly, technical writing helps me in doing my lesson plans in several subjects. It is a common knowledge that lesson planning is considered the hardest thing to do as far as teaching is concerned. ”

In my line of work technicality in writing is a must, being an accountant you should have a precise explanation on your writings. Even though most of the time we deals with numbers,it will be more efficient if you could explain that counting through the effectiveness of your wordings.Practically speaking numbers in accounting is nothing without the words to define them.

Being a public servant, technical writing is attached to our line of work.Making paper works such as clearances, affidavits and other business letters,it really needs technicality.Having proper writings in making reports,we may be able to explain fluently the content of that report.

Importance of Technical Communication
Through using technical writing, I could better understand how to make instructions for projects and explain to my subordinates the purpose and outcome of projects. In my line of work, there are many projects/works that require extremely detailed instruction, and in order for uninformed people to understand this instruction, it has to be written in a clear, concise way.

In my line of work as a nurse I find technical communication is very much important and applied. Whenever I attend to a patient I always check his/her chart first, where I can read and apply the specific medication that was ordered by the physician, to prevent error in medication, from which may cost the patient’s life.

Hmmm.. Technical communication “ehh.. importante talaga yan.

exercise #1: TECHNICAL WRITING

Technical writing, a form of technical communication, is a style of formal writing and is used in fields as diverse as computer hardware and software, chemistry, the aerospace industry, robotics, finance, consumer electronics, and biotechnology. Technical writers explain technology and related ideas, to technical and nontechnical audiences. As examples, this could mean telling a programmer how to use a software library, or telling a consumer how to operate a television remote control.
Technical writers gather information from existing documentation and from subject matter experts. A subject matter expert (SME) is any expert on the topic that the writer is working on. Technical writers are usually not SMEs themselves—unless they're writing about creating good technical documentation. Workers at many levels, and in many different fields, have a role in producing technical communications. A good technical writer needs strong language and teaching skills, and must understand the many conventions of modern technical communications.
